봉은사를 소개합니다 

Today, Bongeun Temple has secrued a high position in Korean Buddhism as a symbolic temple

that provides a shelter for prayer and rituals for around 200,000 registered lay Buddhists,

offering various relief work for the underprivileged, and representing Korean Buddhism to

foreigners here and abroad.

신중단을 모신 중단은 중단대로 어울려야 하고

몽은사 대웅전 �뒤쪽으로 오른쪽은 영산전과 왼쪽으로 산신각이 있읍니다

봉은사 의 산신각에 새로우신 분이 오셨읍니다. 

누구실까요?    독성(나반존자)님이십니다

chilsong, the Big Dipper, has roots in Taoism and shamanism. The Big Dipper is thought to control

both good and bad fortune.

The Disciples'haoo is called the nahan-jon,(나한전) There statues representing specific

enlightened  disciples of the Buddha are to be found. The statue represents a disciple of the

Buddha who attained enlightenment and each one has an individual story.

꽃은 진리의 몸인 법신을 회복해 가진 부처님의 모습을 화사한 아름다움을 갖춘 꽃으로 묘사하고

있읍니다. 곧 법신의 덕을 형상화한 보신(의 모습을 꽃에다 비유한 것입니다. 그러므로 흔히 부처님께

꽃공양을 올리면 내세에 미색(美色)을 갖추게 된다고 하는 까닭도 여기에있읍니다.

Most temples feature at least one Main Buddha Hall and a pagoda, although layouts vary

according to the evnironment, history, and prominence, ranging from the small and snug to

large-scale compounds

봉은사 주지 스님(명진스님) 의 법왕루에서의 법회 모습입니다

 하단은 한단대로 영가를 모신 단답게 경건하고 조촐한 공화를 올려야 한다. 

상단이나 중단 하단의 차별없이 일률적으로 곶아서 올려서는 안된다.

 김교각 지장왕보살님께서 봉은사의 법왕루에 2월 21일 (음 1월 15일)까지 계실 예정입니다

석가모니 부처의 10대 제자중 한사람인 목력존자가 자신의 어머니를 아귀지옥에서 구하기 위해 스님들

의 하안거가끝나는 음력 7월 보름 여러 스님들에게 공양을 올린데서 유래한 우란분절(盂蘭盆節).

Bongeun Temple; Downtown temple aged over a Millennium

봉은사 대웅전 중앙 계단 오른쪽에 위치한 법성게 회향 꽃

"A millennium-aged downtown temple" is the common epithet that reminds us of Bongeun Temple

in the heart of Gangnam area, one of the most prosperous district in Korea

봉은사 의 여러 꽃보살님들 께서는 법성게을 꽃으로 표현하여 백중을 회향함

법성게란  화엄사상을 의상스님이 함축하여 그 핵심요체 210자의 글자를 도인하여 배치하여 놓은것을

 의미함

Flowers bring fruits at last. As flowers, liberation is accomplished by endless efforts. and flowers

are symbolized as efforts. Fruits are compared to the end result of liberation, enlightenment.

Therefore we are taught to learn from the flowers that result fruits after full blooming; studying

Buddha's teachings. Practicing mind and Bodhisattva's compassionate actions

 여러분의 꽃보살님의 수고스러움에 백중 법성게 회향을 잘 마쳤읍니다
